Conveniently located in downtown San Diego on Broadway, the Spreckels Theatre is in the San Diego Theatre District adjacent to the historic Gaslamp District, Horton Plaza, and convenient to all freeways, the airport, and the train station. The Spreckels Theatre is easily accessible from the entire greater San Diego area. The theatre's location provides a safe urban setting with a conveniently located parking garage in the Spreckels Building, Additional parking is in a variety of other locations, with a wide array of restaurants, hotels, and shopping nearby.

Driving Directions



From San Diego International Airport

Exit airport and follow signs for Downtown/Harbor Drive. Turn left on West Broadway and follow for nine blocks. Turn right on Broadway Circle. Parking will be in the Spreckels building on the right.

From the Northeast

Take Interstate 15 South to Route 163 South. Continue until Route 163 becomes 10th Avenue. Turn right on Broadway and follow for nine blocks. Turn left on Broadway Circle. Parking will be in the Spreckels building on the right.

From the Northwest

Take Interstate 5 South to the Front Street/Civic Center exit. Bear to the right for the Front St ramp. Follow Front St to Broadway and make a left. Continue two blocks and make a right on Broadway Circle. Parking will be in the Spreckels building on the right.

From the South

Take Interstate 5 North to 6th Avenue towards Downtown. Turn left on 6th Ave. Follow to Broadway and make a left. Follow for four blocks and turn right on Broadway Circle. Parking will be in the Spreckels building on the right.

From the East

Take Interstate 8 West to Route 163 South. Continue until Route 163 becomes 10th Avenue. Turn right on Broadway and follow for nine blocks. Turn left on Broadway Circle. Parking will be in the Spreckels building on the right.

Parking

Valet Parking Only; The Spreckels Garage is accessible through 2nd Avenue (Broadway Circle) on the east side of the Spreckles Building.

Special Needs Parking

When valet parking at the Spreckels Garage, the Spreckels Theatre Grand Lobby is accessed from the garage by a bank of three elevators that open directly across from the Spreckels Box Office, adjacent to theatre entrance doors. There is also a drop-off area at curbside for wheel chair access directly under the Spreckels Theatre Marquee on Broadway.

Price

Event parking rates are as follows:

The price for parking at performances and special events at the Spreckel Theatre is $10.00 per vehicle. Some restrictions may apply.

Regular parking rates are as follows:

$3.00 each 20 minutes; max is $25.00 per day
$5.00 when arriving after 5PM
$5.00 weekends; all day flat rate

Hours

The hours of operation are as follows:

Monday- Thursday: 7AM-11PM
Friday 7AM-12AM
Saturday 9AM -12AM
Closed Sundays except for show dates

Payment

The only acceptable forms of payment for parking are by cash and personal check.

NO OVERNIGHT PARKING

Private Coach drop-off and parking

Are you coming in a group by private coach or bus? There is no dedicated bus parking allowed by the City of San Diego around the Spreckels Theatre block. Please contact us at (619) 235-9500 for directions for where to safely stop and drop off your passengers and where to go to park your bus while you wait for the show to be over for pick-up.

Public Transportation

Taxis are readily available throughout San Diego.

Additionally, the public transit system offers transportation by bus (link to bus map and schedule) and trolley.

City Rail System

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System operates a trolley which makes a stop at the Civic Center, one block from the Spreckels Theatre. For more information for schedules and maps, go to their website.
